Ron Hami was born in Israel and moved to Los Angeles, California when he was three years old. His father, Joseph Hami was one of the West Coast pioneers in the diamond industry. From an early age Ron had a keen eye for art and loved to draw. Growing up he would visit his father at work where he saw beautiful pieces of jewelry and diamonds that later triggered his creativity for design. In the early nineties Ron decided that he would begin formal training in design. He began assisting designers in the fashion world and created trim that would finish the garments for various fashion houses. His passion and creativity grew with each project.
The dream came to an abrupt halt in 1993 when Ron received the most devastating news. His father had been killed on a diamond selling trip. With time away, and some years learning the diamond business, the urge to create was calling. Ron began designing for a fine jewelry house, before deciding to take a leap and create a line of his own.
The real passion began in 2002 when Ron created the Joseph Hami Karma Collection as a tribute to his father. The timeless collection of 18 karat gold and diamond zodiac pendants adorned the necks of many celebrities, that included Nicole Kidman, Heather Locklear, Carmen Electra, and Demi Moore, to name a few. From that, came the birth of RON HAMI jewelry
The jewelry has been favored by many of Hollywood’s finest, and has graced the covers, and inside pages of countless high fashion magazines such as Harpers Bazaar, InStyle, Marie Claire, and W.
Ron Hami jewelry offers women the sense of individuality and empowerment so they feel proud and beautiful adorned in his pieces. The aesthetic of the brand has always been clean and simple. You can see that theme evolve through all RON HAMI collections.
