OUR STORY

Ron Hami was born in Israel and moved to Los Angeles, California when he was three years old. His father, Joseph Hami, was one of the West Coast pioneers in the diamond industry.

From an early age, Ron had a keen eye for art and loved to draw. Growing up, he would visit his father at work, where Ron saw beautiful pieces of jewelry and diamonds that later sparked his passion for creativity and design.

Ron began his formal design training in the nineties. He assisted designers in the fashion world, creating beautiful trim that put the finishing touches on garments for various fashion houses. His passion and creativity grew with each project.

The dream abruptly halted in 1993 when Ron received the most devastating news. His father had been killed on a diamond-selling trip. With time away and some years learning the diamond business, the urge to create grew stronger. Ron began designing for a fine jewelry house before deciding to take a leap and create a line of his own.

BRAND HISTORY

Ron’s passion ignited with his 2002 Joseph Hami Karma Collection as a tribute to his father. His first collection, which honored the memory and spirit of Ron’s father, launched the RON HAMI jewelry brand.
